The Panics Live @ Tanks

I don’t know what it was, but immediately as the group stepped out on stage, all in their Hush Puppies I might add, you could tell that they felt comfortable, weren’t stressed and were a warm collective of fellas.

Some might say they enjoyed being in Cairns. Was it band member Paul Otway’s “I love Cairns” t-shirt that gave it away? Who knows…

Welcomed by a laid back and relaxed yet vocal audience, the talented bunch of guys, who are The Panics, filled the tanks with their anthemic, easy listening tunes.

With both older ballads and some of their new material, they entertained the crowd with a chorus of smooth tones about life – situations that we’ve all sure to have come across some at time or another.

Added with lead singer Jae’s emotive voice and enthusiasm, you couldn’t help but feel as though you owned the anecdote, or experience, hidden within the lyrics.

After finishing the gig, the guys were generous and gave up some of their time to hang out, chill and mingle with the crowd, welcoming conversation and photo and autograph opportunities.
